Masala Peanuts is a yummy tea time snack made with just few ingredients. The best part is that it is baked and not deep fried. Now we can take the yummy snack guilt free. I am definitely going to try this out again and again. Now lets get started.

I have also posted the traditional deep fried Masala Peanuts as well.

    Ingredients for Baked Masala Peanuts

    Peanuts

    Gram Flour

    Rice Flour

    Spice powders

How to prepare Baked Masala Peanuts, Pictorial

    1. In a pan add in the peanuts and saute on a low flame until it's roasted. In a mortar and pestle add in the garlic, fennel seeds, and Curry leaves and crush

    2. In a mixing bowl add in the roasted peanuts. To this add in the Gram flour and rice flour.

    3. To this add the blended garlic and fennel paste, Chilli powder, Salt. Next, add Hing and Baking soda.

    4. Mix everything well Now add in 1 tbsp of oil and mix everything. Oil helps the masala to stay intact with the peanuts so don't skip this step.

    5. Next sprinkle water little by little and mix in such a way that the masala is spread on all the peanuts.

    6. Line a baking tray with parchment paper and spread the peanuts.

    7. Preheat the oven at 190 Deg C for 10 mins and then bake at 190 Deg C for 20 mins After 15 mins. Using a spatula slightly spread the peanuts and then bake.

    8. Wait till the masala peanuts cool down nd then store in air tight containers.

This is something my girls love so much, yet I wonder why I have never tried making it at home. Baking is definitely a much guilt free way than frying and it looks equally delicious!
