    Carrot Kosambari Recipe | Carrot Moong Dal Salad
    Carrot Kosambari Recipe | Carrot Moong Dal Salad with step by step photos. Carrot and Moong Dal is perfect match and goes very well together. It is usually prepared for Ram Navami festival along with Panagam and Neer Moor as an offering to god. Apart from that it makes a healthy salad and we can munch on it anytime or can be used along with a full meals. Now let’s see how to prepare this.

    Carrot Kosambari Recipe | Carrot Moong Dal Salad

    Prep Time: 10 mins | Cook Time : 0  mins |Serves: 2 |Author :Sharmila Kingsly
    Ingredients:

    Grated Carrot – 1 cup

    Moong Dal – ¼ cup
    Green Chilli – 1 (finely chopped)
    Lemon Juice – 1 tbsp
    Salt as needed
    Coriander leaves – 1 tbsp
    To Temper:
    Oil – 1 tsp
    Mustard Seeds – ½ tsp
    Curry Leaves a spring
    Hing / Asafoetida – a pinch
        Method : 
         1.    Soak Moong dal in water for 1 hour. Grate the carrots.
         2.    In a mixing bowl add the grated carrot and soaked moong dal. Add Green Chilli and Lemon Juice.
        3.   Add the required Salt and Coriander Leaves and Mix well. Heat a pan to prepare the seasoning .Add oil once it heats up add in Mustard seeds, Curry Leaves and Hing.
        4.    Now add the prepared Seasoning to the Salad, give a good mix and serve immediately.
      Notes:
         ·       You can add pepper powder if you prefer.
         ·       Add extra lemon juice if you like it tangy.
         ·       Also increase or decrease the carrot and moong dal as per your preference.
         ·       Serve immediately. Else it might get soggy.
