Christmas Sugar Cookies Recipe | Eggless Christmas Sugar Cookies
Step by step Method with pictures:
1.In a mixing bowl add in the soft unsalted butter, to this add in icing sugar. Cream together till they blend well. I used my electric beater to cream in the butter and sugar.

2.To this add in the wheat flour, Salt, Baking powder, and Vanilla essence. Mix everything to form a dough. Add in milk if required. Cling wrap the dough and refrigerate it for 2 hours. After 2 hours removes from the fridge and thaw the dough for 5 mins and then flatten the dough and cut the cookies into any desired shapes.

3.Sprinkle the sugar over the cookies and press a little. I used green and red color to suit the Christmas theme. Preheat the oven at 180 Deg C for about 10 mins and then bake at 180 Deg C for about 15-18 mins or until the base of the cookies brown. Remove it from the oven and then allow it to cool.

Standard 1 cup measures 240 ml

    Equipment

    • Oven

    Ingredients

    • Whole Wheat Flour – 1 cups
    • Icing Sugar – ⅓ cup
    • Baking powder – ½ tsp
    • Salt a pinch
    • Butter – ⅓ cup
    • Milk – 2 tbsp
    • Vanilla essence – ¼ tsp
    • Sugar Sprinkles

    Instructions

    • In a mixing bowl add in the soft unsalted butter, to this add in icing sugar. Cream together till they blend well. I used my electric beater to cream in the butter and sugar.
    • To this add in the wheat flour, Salt, Baking powder, and Vanilla essence. Mix everything to form a dough. Add in milk if required. Cling wrap the dough and refrigerate it for 2 hours. After 2 hours remove from the fridge and thaw the dough for 5 mins and then flatten the dough and cut the cookies into any desired shapes.
    • Sprinkle the sugar over the cookies and press a little. I used green and red color to suit the Christmas theme. Preheat the oven at 180 Deg C for about 10 mins and then bake at 180 Deg C for about 15-18 mins or until the base of the cookies brown. Remove it from the oven and then allow it to cool.

    Notes

The baking time may vary so check after 10 mins.
    Keeps good for 1 week.
Make sure you refrigerate the cookies and then bake else it might spread.
Instead of refrigerating the cookies and then cutting them into shapes, you can also cut the cookies and then refrigerate them.
Maida can be used as well. But I used wheat flour as I'm giving it to my kids.
