    Green Gram Sprouts | Mung Bean Sprouts | How to sprout Green Gram with step by step pictures. Green Gram sprouts are super healthy they are rich in vitamins and low in calories. They can be consumed raw and can be used in salds,sandwiches and many more.

    I have always seen small packets sprouts kept ready made in many supermarkets. I wonder when making sprouts in home is super easy why buy that to from shops. So sharing today how to sprout green gram in home.

    Prep Time: 18-24 hours | Cook Time :0 mins |Serves: 2 |Author :Sharmila Kingsly
    Ingredients:           

    Green Gram /Mung Bean – 1 cup
        Method 1: 
        1.    Wash the green gram really well and allow it to soak in water overnight.Next morning strain the water using a colander and transfer the green gram to another bowl and keep closed.
        2.    Make sure there is no excess water in the closed bowl in the next 6-8 hours the green gram will start to sprout if you want the sprouts even more big leave it for another 8 hours.
        Method 2:
        1.    Wash and soak green gram in a bowl of water over night. In the morning remove the excess water using a colander from the green grams and transfer them to a muslin cloth and make a knot.
         2.    Keep the muslin clot in the colander and cover it with a plate and leave them undisturbed. Within 4 to 8 hours the seeds starts germinating.
      Notes:
         ·       Open the bowl and toss it once in a while.
         ·       You can also keep the green gram cover in a white damp cloth for sprouting. However both the method works.
