For the Green Gram Sprouts:
Wash and soak green gram in a bowl of water over night. In the morning remove the excess water using a colander from the green grams and transfer them to a muslin cloth and make a knot. Keep the muslin clot in the colander and cover it with a plate and leave them undisturbed. Within 4 to 8 hours the seeds starts germinating. You can remove them and use them for preparing the Sundal.

· Perfect for the Navratri fasting and evening snacks.
· If you cook for more whistles the sprouts will get mashed so take care while cooking the sprouts.
· Instead of cooker in a pressure cooker you can also microwave the sprouts in a high for about 2 mins.
· Sprouts are rich in protein, so over cooking may remove its essential nutrients.
· You can also garnish with coconut in the end if you prefer.
