Instant Pot bread pudding is a rich fudge made with chunks of bread baked along with a custard. It goes well with some ice cream or hot chocolate.
A perfect Christmas dessert that gets done easily in the Instant Pot. All you have to do is to Combine and layer the pudding in the baking and let Instant pot do the rest.

What is Pudding
A pudding is a dish that is either sweet or savory. It is usually served after the main course. The most popular are the sweet pudding and it is a custard or egg based creamy fudge baked to perfection.
Ingredients
Milk - Use full fat milk
Fresh cream - Gives a nice flavor to the pudding
Egg - Use room temperature egg
Vanilla extract - This is very important as the pudding has egg it is vanilla extract is used to mask the eggy smell.
Sugar - Use white sugar or brown sugar as you prefer.
Bread - Use any flaky bread. I used normal whole wheat bread. You may also use baguette bread or even croissant for a flaky pudding.
Topping - Use any nuts or dry fruits as you prefer.
How to make Instant Pot Bread Pudding
1. In a bowl add in ⅓ cup Milk , 2 tbsp fresh cream , ⅓ cup Sugar , 1 tsp Vanilla extract and break open 2 eggs. Combine until its mixed well and set aside.
2. Take 3 slices of bread and slice them into even sized cubes.
3. Take a 6 inch round baking pan and arrange the sliced bread pieces. Pour the prepared custard over the bread pieces.
4. Using a spatula gently press the bread slices , so that they are below or fully soaked in the custard.
5. Garnish with some dried fruits and nuts. I am using dried cherries and toasted pecans.
6. Cover the baking pan with a foil to prevent the condensation from dripping in the pan.
7. Add 1 cup of water to the inner steel pot of Instant Pot. Place the baking pan on top of the trivet. Close the Instant Pot
8. Move the pressure knob to sealing and set 30 mins in high pressure. Wait for a natural pressure release and then open the instant pot.
9. Instant Pot baked bread pudding is ready.
Serving Suggestions :
Makes a perfect after meal dessert.
