1.In a pan add in oil once it heats up add in Cumin seeds, Chopped onion saute well, and then add in Salt and Turmeric powder.Saute till the onions turn glossy.Next, add in the chopped green stems. Keep sauteing in a low flame. In a blender add in the ingredients mentioned under the “To Grind” section and blend to a coarse paste.

Standard 1 cup measures 240 ml
Ingredients
- Keerai Thandu / Greens Stem – 2 cups
- Salt as needed
- Turmeric powder – ½ tsp
- Oil – 1 tbsp
- Cumin seeds – 1 tsp
- Onion – 1
To Grind :
- Dry Red Chilli – 4
- Grated Coconut – 4 tbsp
- Garlic pods – 3
- Shallots – 2
Instructions

- Next add in the chopped green stems. Keep sautéing in a low flame. In a blender add in the ingredients mentioned under the “To Grind” section and blend to a coarse paste.
- Once the green stem is cooked add in the ground coconut masala and cook for another 5 mins and switch off the flame.
Notes
· Goes well with Rice and Sambar.
