    Lemon Poha is an easy breakfast/Snack that can be prepared in just minutes. When you are left out with no time you can quickly whip up this J It has a tangy taste and with the crunch of peanuts it tastes awesome!! Now let’s get started.

    Step by step Method with pictures:
         1.     Take Poha (I used thick variety) in a bowl, add water till the immersing level and allow it to rest for 5 mins .The water would have been completely absorbed by then. Heat Oil in a pan once it is hot add in the tempering ingredients one buy one. Next add in Green chili and Onions.
         2.     Once the onions become glossy add in the lemon juice from 1 lemon, Salt and then turmeric powder sauté well for a min.
         3.     Next add in the soaked Poha and mix well and cook for 3 mins in a low flame till the seasoning is evenly mixed over the poha .Check for salt and add if required. Switch off the flame and garnish with Chopped coriander leaves.
    Tastes good by itself or can be had with coconut chutney .

    Standard 1 cup measures 240 ml

    Ingredients

    • Poha – 1 cup
    • Onion - 1
    • Lemon – 1
    • Salt as needed
    • Coriander leaves to garnish

    To Temper:

    • Oil – 1 tbsp
    • Peanuts – 1 tbsp
    • Mustard Seeds – 1 tsp
    • Green Chilli – 2
    • Curry Leaves a spring

    Notes

    • If using thin variety of poha just soak for 2 mins else it will become mushy and would hold the shape.
    •  You can use channa dal and Urad Dal as well. As I used Peanuts I skipped them.
