    Moong Dal Namkeen | Crispy Fried moong Dal Recipe | Haldiram Style Moong Dal Namkeen with step by step photos.One of the addictive namkeen to munch on. It is quite easy to prepare at home. Only care should be taken it is deep-fried and removed at the correct stage. This is one of the easy and yummy snack to pack during travel. Now let’s see how to prepare Moong Dal Namkeen.

    Step by step Method with pictures:

        1.Soak Moong Dal in Water for 4 hours. After that drain the excess water and allow it to dry in a kitchen towel for 2 hours.

    2. Dry till no moisture content remains. 

     3.Heat oil for deep frying. Once the oil heats up add the Moong dal and fry till crisp in a medium flame. 

     

     4.Drain in a paper towel to remove excess oil. Take the fried moong dal in a bowl and add Salt and Chaat Masala. Toss well for the spices to mix. Moong Dal Namkeen is now ready to be served.

     Moong Dal Namkeen

     Moong Dal Namkeen is a crispy fried snack made with dried Yellow Lentils .It is a perfect snack along with Tea.

    Standard 1 cup measures 240 ml

    Ingredients

    • Moong Dal – 1 cup
    • Oil for deep frying
    • Salt for taste
    • Chat Masala to taste optional

    Notes

    · You can also add chilli powder if you prefer.
    · Don’t over fry ,it won’t be crisp then.
    · Serve along with tea.
