Palak Pualo Recipe | Spinach Pulao with Step by step pictures. Palak pulao is a yummy recipe that goes very well with some Chiken Roast and Onion Raita or any Chips. Palak when coconut with Coconut milk and Rice taste amazing. I gave made the pulao as mildly spicy and hence it is a perfect way to feed palak to the kids. Now lets see how to prepare Palak Pulao / Green Pulao.

How to prepare Palak Pulao, Pictorial:
1.Soak the Palak in hot water for 5 mins and then in a blender add in the ginger garlic pods, Green Chilli and Balanced palak and blend it to a fine puree. Extract the coconut milk and set it aside.
2.Soak the Basmati Rice for 30 mins. Heat a Vessel with Ghee once it’s hot add in the Fennel Seeds, Bay Leaves, Cinnamon stick, Star Anise and cashew nuts. Next add in the sliced onions and saute till glossy
3.Add in the ginger garlic paste and cook till the raw smell leaves .Next add in the mint coriander leaves and cook till they shrink and then add in the ground palak puree.
4.Mix well and cook for few mins and then add in the Salt, Turmeric powder. Next add in the soaked Basmati Rice. Fry for 2 mins
5.Add in the measured Coconut Milk and mix well. Add in Salt and Lemon Jucie and mix well.
6.Keep the flame in high and transfer the contents to an electric rice cooker and cook till its cooked to perfection.
I served Palak pulao with Chicken Roast and Onion Raita.

Palak Pulao Recipe | Spinach Pulao
Standard 1 cup measures 240 ml
Ingredients
To Grind:
- Ginger – 1 tbsp
- Garlic – 4 pods
- Green Chilli – 3
- Palak – 1 cup
Other Ingredients:
- Ghee/ Oil – 2 tbsp + 1 tbsp
- Fennel Seeds – 1 tsp
- Bay Leaves – 2
- Cinnamon stick – 1-inch piece
- Star Anise – 1
- Cashewnuts - 10
- Basmati Rice – 1 cup
- Onion - 2
- Ginger Garlic paste – 1 tbsp
- Mint Leaves + Coriander Leaves– ¼ cup
- Turmeric Powder – ¼ tsp
- Lemon Juice – 1 tbsp
- Salt as needed
- Coconut Milk – 2 cups
Instructions

Notes
· You can also cook the same in Pressure Cooker.
· In that case keep the flame in high and close the cooker but without the whistle. wait till the stream comes out rigorously, Once the steam comes excessively put on the whistle and cook for 3 mins exactly and switch off the stove. Let the pressure gets released on its own and then open the cooker and fluff the rice.
· You can also replace coconut milk with water.
