Rava Payasam Recipe | Sooji Kheer with Step by step photos. Payasam / Kheer is a great after-meal dessert served in Indian Thali. Rava Payasam is a simple and yummy kheer as it uses just simple ingredients readily available in most households.

Rava Payasam gets thicker as it cools down so adjust the consistency and switch off the flame accordingly. If it becomes really thick you can add a ½ cup of hot milk and adjust the consistency. Now let’s see how to prepare Sooji Kheer.

    How to make Rava payasam

         1.    In a pan add in ghee once it heats up add the cashew nuts and raisins, roast till the cashew nuts turn brown and the raisins plump up. Remove from the pan and set aside.
