Soak the Kavuni Airsi in water overnight, In the morning add in the water and cook in a medium flame for 6 whistles. Wait till the pressure is released by its own and then open the cooker. By this time the rice would have been cooked fully but it has the bite and it would not be mushy.
Now transfer the cooked rice to a pan and then add in the country sugar.
Mix well, The Sugar will now melt and leave water and then start to get runny. Cook in a low flame until it gets slightly thick. Next add in the cardamom powder and grated coconut.
Mix well and then add in the ghee. Mix and cook for another 2 mins and switch off the flame.
Notes
Serve as an after-meal dessert.
Garnish with your favorite nuts if preferred.
