Bajra Flakes Mixture

Bajra Flakes Mixture is one healthy snack for the kids. It is a good replacement for mixture and I am sure kids will simply love this healthy snack.

Ingredients

  • Bajra Flakes / Kambu Aval – 1 cups
  • Oil – 3 tbsp
  • Roasted Gram Dal – ¼ cup
  • Roasted Peanuts – ¼ cup
  • Green Chilli – 1
  • Curry Leaves – 1 spring
  • Hing – ¼ tsp
  • Turmeric powder – ¼ tsp
  • Salt

Instructions 

  • In a pan add in the bajra flakes. Dry Roast in a low flame. Roast until it is crisp. Transfer it in another pan and allow it to cool down.
  • In a pan add in 3 tbsp of oil. Once its hot add in the roasted gram dal and fry till it is brown. Remove from the pan and drain in paper towel.
  • In the same pan add in the roasted peanuts, fry for a min and then remove from the pan.
  • In the same pan then add in the green chili and curry leaves fry for a min in low flame and then add in the hing.
  • Fry everything together, Next add in the turmeric powder .
  • Add Salt as per taste. Fry everything for a few secs and then add in the roasted peanuts and roasted gram dal.
  • Mix everything. And then add the bajra flakes. Combine everything and cook in a low flame for a min and then switch off the stove.
  • Allow it to cool completely and then store in an sir tight container.

  • Instead of bajra flakes, any millet flakes or poha or puffed rice can be used.
  • Makes a healthy evening snack
  • Stays good for 2 weeks.
