Cucumber Pulissery | Vellarikkai Moru Curry | Cucumber Yogurt Curry

Standard 1 cup measures 240 ml

Ingredients

  • 1 cup Cucumber Chopped
  • Salt as needed
  • ½ tsp Turmeric powder
  • ¼ cup Curd

To Grind

  • ¼ cup Grated coconut
  • 2 Green Chilli
  • 1 tsp Cumin Seeds

To Temper :

  • 1 tsp Coconut Oil
  • 1 sprig Curry Leaves
  • 3 Dry Red Chilli
  • 1 tsp Mustard Seeds
  • Hing a pinch

Instructions 

  • Heat a kadai with water, to this add in the chopped cucumber and cook till its fully done.
  • In a blender add in the ingredients mentioned under the “To Grind” section and blend it to a coarse paste. After the cucumber is fully cooked add the grinded coconut paste and curd. Mix well.
  • Now add in the turmeric powder and required salt. Mix well and in a low flame bring it to a boil.
  • Once it comes to a boil. Switch off the flame. Meanwhile heat a tadka pan with coconut oil add the mustard seeds, Curry leaves ,Hing and dry red chilli.
  • Add the prepared takda to the kuzhambu and Cucumber pulissery is now ready to be served.

Notes

· Serve with Rice.
· Adjust the amount of curd added as per your taste preference.
