Drumstick leaves Soup

Drumstick leaves Soup is packed with nutrients especially it is very rich in iron. It is so easy to prepare and packed with nutrients

Standard 1 cup measures 240 ml

Ingredients

  • Drumstick Leaves – 2 cups tightly packed
  • Small onions/ Shallots – 5
  • Tomato – 1 medium sixed
  • Garlic – 3 pods
  • Ginger a small piece crushed
  • Water – 3 cups
  • Salt as needed
  • Pepper as needed
  • Ghee – 1 tsp
  • Cumin seeds – ½ tsp

Instructions 

  • Switch on the Instant Pot. Once its shows on add in the oil. Wait till it gets hot and then add in cumin seeds let it splutter.
  • Next add in the chopped Shallots, garlic, crushed ginger, and tomato. Saute for 2 mins.
  • Next, add the moringa leaves or drumstick leaves. Saute for a min. The leaves shrink so quickly.
  • Add in the water or vegetable stock. Combine everything.
  • Add in the pepper powder
  • And then finally add in the required salt.
  • Mix well and close the Instant Pot. Press pressure cook option and cook for 2 mins in high pressure.
  • Wait for a natural pressure release and then open the Instant Pot. Nutritious Instant Pot drumstick leaves soup s ready.

Notes

· You can actually serve it as it is with the leaves but I prefer to strain and have the soup.
