Cucumber Dosa| Vellarikai Dosai | Mangalore Cucumber Crepes

Cucumber Dosa is a Mangalore Specialty Dosa made with fresh cucumber along with spices in the Idli, Dosa batter.

Standard 1 cup measures 240 ml


  • Dosa Batter – 1 cup
  • Salt to taste
  • To Grind:
  • Chopped Cucumber – ½ cup
  • Green Chilli – 1
  • Ginger a small piece
  • Coriander leaves – 1 tbsp


  • Grind the ingredients mentioned in the “To Grind” section to a fine puree.
  • In a vessel take dosa batter and to this add in the ground cucumber puree. Mix well and then add in Salt and mix well.
  • Heat the dosa pan ,once hot pour a ladle full of dosa batter .Drizzle oil over the edges of the dosa and Cover cook for few secs.
  • Flip the dosa and cook till it is done. Serve hot.


· Tastes good when served with Chutney or Sambar.
· Makes an excellent breakfast.
· Adjust the spiciness as per your preference.
