Cauliflower Kheema | Cauliflower Kheema in Pressure Cooker

 Cauliflower kheema is a super yummy side dish to go with roti, naan, phulka, or poori. It is prepared as a one-pot dish.

  • Pressure Cooker

Ingredients

  • Cauliflower – 1 medium sized sized
  • Oil – 1 tbsp
  • Fennel Seeds – 1 tsp
  • Bay Leaves – 1
  • Cinnamon stick – 1 inch piece
  • Mustard Seeds – ½ tsp
  • Curry Leaves – 1 spring
  • Onion – 1 big
  • Ginger garlic paste – 2 tsp
  • Green Chilli – 2
  • Tomato – 2
  • Chilli powder – 2 tsp
  • Coriander powder – 2 tsp
  • Garam Masala – 1 tsp
  • Turmeric powder – ¼ tsp
  • Salt as needed

Instructions 

  • Bring water to boil in a saucepan and switch off the flame. Add in the chopped Cauliflower florets and immerse for 5 mins to remove the small worms and dirt. Drain the water and set aside.
  • Add the cauliflower florets in a food processor and mince it. Heat a pressure cooker with oil add Mustard Seeds, Fennel seeds, Bay leaves, Cinnamon stick and then add in the curry leaves fry for few secs.
  • Then add in finely chopped onions and green chili. Cook till glossy and then add in ginger garlic paste cook till the raw smell leaves.
  • Add the tomatoes and cook till they are mashed well. Now add in the Chilli powder, Coriander powder, Garam Masala, Turmeric powder and the required Salt. Mix well.
  • Now add in the minced cauliflower and mix well. Add 2 tbsp of water check for the salt and spice and close the lid of the pressure cooker and cook in a medium flame for 2 whistles. Wait till the pressure is released naturally and then open the cooker. Garnish with coriander leaves and serve.

Notes

· Serve hot with Roti or Phulkas.
