Snicker Doodle Cookies | Cinnamon Sugar Cookies

Snicker Doodle Cookies is a type of cookie made with butter or oil, sugar, and flour, and then rolled in cinnamon sugar.

Ingredients

  • Whole Wheat Flour – 1 ½ cups
  • Baking powder – 1 tsp
  • Salt a pinch
  • Butter – ½ cup
  • Sugar – ¾ cup + ¼ cup
  • Egg - 1
  • Vanilla Essence – ½ tsp
  • Cinnamon powder – 1 tsp

Instructions 

  • In a mixing bowl add in the wheat flour, baking powder, and salt. Sieve everything together. In another mixing bowl add in the soft unsalted powder.
  • Add in powdered sugar to the butter using an electric beater cream together. Next break open an egg and beat everything together once again until they are well combined.
  • Next add in the Vanilla essence and mix everything once again.
  • Now add in the flour to the butter and sugar. combine everything together and form a dough. In a bowl mix together, the cinnamon powder and sugar.
  • Divide the dough into equal-sized balls and roll them over the cinnamon sugar.
  • Flatten the balls and form the cookies. Refrigerate it for 2 hours. Preheat the oven at 190 Deg C for about 10 mins and then bake at 190 Deg C for about 12-15 mins or until the base of the cookies brown. Remove it from the oven and then allow it to cool.

Notes

The baking time may vary so check after 10 mins.
Keeps good for 1 week.
Make sure you refrigerate the cookies and then bake else it might spread.
Don’t over bake the cookies.
Maida can be used as well. But I used wheat flour as I'm giving it to my kids.
