A Little bit about Me and My Life!!
I am Sharmila Kingsly (Joshie Sharmila). A Software Engineer by profession and a Food Blogger by Passion. Never thought cooking would be an integral part of my life until I started blogging. Now this is what motivates and keeps my life more busy and interesting
Unlike every other Engineer in India , after completing my degree i started working in an IT firm in Chennai where i spend almost 3 years of my Life
I am from Nagercoil (also called as Nanjil Nadu )a small town in the Kanyakumari district of Tamil Nadu, Kanyakumari district is on the Tamil Nadu and Kerala border. so you can see a lot of Kerala Cuisine influence in my cooking. Also Nanjil Nadu Recipes are so unique and special.
After Marriage, we moved to Bangalore where we lived for 5 years. These 5 years of my life played an import part in my cooking journey,It is where i started cooking and I discovered my joy and passion for cooking
Also, I got introduced to many awesome delicacies during the 5 years of my Bangalore life. The hot hot bise bele bath served in MTR restaurant is my favorite and of course I can't never forget JayaNager food Street memories and commercial Street Shopping!!
Now I am living in Chennai with my hubby, two little daughters. This is my cute little world.
Why Happietrio
So when i was thinking to name the blog i was so confused and i couldn't finalize a name and after a while when i discussed with hubby he suggested me to name the blog with something which I consider precious. Without a second a thought i could only visualize my two little dolls.. I started this blog with my two little daughters as a heart and soul together. I proudly call us team Happietrio(My self and my 2 daughters).
What can you expect in Cook with Sharmila:
I grew up in Nagercoil (Nanjil Nadu) , Have spent half a decade in Bangalore and another half and more in Chennai. Growing up I was exposed to a lot of Kerala and Nanjil Nadu recipes which has more of coconut oil and coconut. And not to mention we include a lot of fish and Non Veg Food will be more in my food.
Having been exposed to a lot of Karnataka foods and this website will feature more of Veg and Non Veg Recpies From Tamil Nadu ,Karnataka and Kerala.
Occasionally I try recipes from other cuisines as well.Both North Indian and International Recipes. Yes our palates have no limit and boundaries , so yes I cook food that we find yummy and hearty and we don not stop with boundaries.
Needless to say, baking is my new found love . I love baking cookies and Cakes. I have a variety of Cookies, Cakes , Brownies and many other Baked goodies in my Website.I bake for my kids mostly and the recipes they approve will find a place in my website.
