Butter Popcorn

Butter Popcorn is one of the common and easiest street food which is loved by kids it can be made easily in home with just popcorn kernels.

Standard 1 cup measures 240 ml

Ingredients

  • ½ cup Popcorn Kernels
  • 3 tbsp Oil
  • 2 tbsp Butter
  • Salt as needed

Instructions 

  • Heat a heavy-bottomed pan with oil, once it heats up add one or two popcorn kernels and see if it pops up.
  • Once it pops up remove them and add the remaining popcorn kernels.
    Add the popcorn kernals
  • Close the pan with the lid in a lower flame and wait till the popcorn fully pops up. In between shake the pan. But make sure don’t open the pan. Once the popping sound completely goes off. Switch off the flame.
    Close the vessel the popcorn starts popping up
  • Popcorn is now ready. Next let's prepare the butter.

  • Next in a small microwave-safe bowl add in the bowl and melt .to this add in the required salt and mix well.

  • Now pour the melted butter over the popcorn and swirl such that the butter equally spreads over the popcorn.
    Butter Popcorn is now ready

Notes

· Serve as a snack to kids
· Make sure the lid of the vessel is closed while popping the popcorn else it might burst on us.
· I used my pressure cooking for the popcorn but any closed vessel can be used.
· This is the basic recipe and any flavor can be used over the popcorn.
