In a mixing bowl sift together all-purpose flour and Baking Powder. To this add the chopped cold cubed butter, and with the help of your fingers rubs together the butter and flour mixture. The butter and flour are completely mixed and it resembles bread crumbs.
To the mixture now add the cane sugar and water or milk and mix well and knead together to form a soft dough. Cling wrap and freeze it for 10 mins.
After 10 mins dust a surface with flour and roll the dough, making sure the dough is not too thin. Take a tart mold and plate the dough in the mold as shown in the images.
Prick the dough with a fork across. Freeze it for 10 mins. Meanwhile, start preparing the filling. In a bowl take the digestive biscuits and crush them well to form fine crumbs.
Wash the strawberry well and wipe it with a kitchen towel. Chop the strawberry into small pieces and next add brown sugar. Toss everything well, the filling is ready.
Now fill the tarts with the prepared filling. Preheat the oven to 180 Deg c for about 10 mins, then bake the mini tarts for about 20 -25 mins until the tarts are completely baked. Allow the tarts to cool and then invert the tart will come out of the molds easily.
Notes
The quantity of the butter can be increased for a more flaky crust.
The baking time may vary between a conventional oven and OTG.
Any biscuits can be added for the filling.
Serve as an evening snack for kids along with Milk.
