Chop in all the vegetables before you start. Cube the tomato, Potato and Onions and chop the Beans and Carrots lengthwise. In a cooking pan add 2 cups of water and then add the Chopped vegetables.
Along with the veggies add turmeric powder and salt and cover and cook the veggies till done. It may take around 20 mins in a medium flame.
Cook the dal and rice and keep it ready.
Once the vegetables are cooked. Add cooked rice, Dal.
Also add tamarind water.
Combine everything well, let it come to a boil. Check for salt and then add in the Bisi bele bath Masala.
In a low flame cook for another 10 mins till the raw smell of the masala leaves. If the rice is too thick add more water as it tends to get thick once it cools down. Now switch off the flame.
Next lets prepare tadka . In a pan heat the Ghee. To the hot ghee add in mustard seeds, Cashew nuts ,Curry Leaves and Dry Red Chilli.
Finally add dry Coconut and sauté until slightly golden. Switch off and add prepared tadka to bisi bele bath serve hot with boondi.
Notes
The entire process can be carried out in the pressure cooker too.
If so cook the vegetable sin cooker for 2 whistle and then the same like rest of the process. But make sure the veggies and rice don’t get mashed.
Serve with Chips or Mixture.
Tastes best when served hot topped with Ghee and Boondi.
