Bisi bele bath is a traditional rice based recipe from the Indian State of Karnataka. Bisi bele bath mean hot lentil rice. In kannada bisi means hot bele means lentil and bath means rice. The preparation seems to be quite elaborate form dry roasting the masala preparing the masala powder and then cooking the rice ,dal and vegetables separately along with preparing the tamarind water .finally cooking everything together and then tempered with the tadka and served hot with drizzle of ghee topped with Hot and Crispy Boondi J
Aww.. Lip smacking isn’t it J There are also ready-made Masala powder if you have time constrains you can opt that too. The very first time I tasted Bisi bele bath in my Office Food Court, I dint like the taste that much as it had a strong flavor and once again after few months I happened to taste this heaven in MTR. I was like in heaven. It was then I fell for this delicious goodness. After that I  used to prepare this very often in home .Now let’s get started.

           2.      Along with the veggies add in turmeric powder and salt and cover and cook the veggies till done. It may take around 20 mins in a medium flame. Meanwhile cook the dal and rice and keep it ready.
          3.      Now the vegetables would have been cooked fully add in the cooked rice, Dal and Tamarind water .Mix everything well, let it come to a boil. Check for salt and then add in the Bisi bele bath Masala.
          4.      In a low flame cook for another 10 mins till the raw smell of the masala leaves if the rice is too thick add in water as it tends to get thick once it cools down .Now switch off the flame. In a pan heat the Ghee.
