Paneer Tomato Gravy

Paneer Tomato Gravy is a creamy tomato-based Paneer Gravy. It goes well with Roti Or Pulao.

  • 200 gms Paneer
  • Tomato - 3
  • Oil – 3 tbsp
  • Green Chilli – 2
  • Onion – 2
  • Ginger garlic paste – 1 tbsp
  • Capsicum – 2 tbsp
  • Water – 1 cup
  • Garam Masala – ½ tsp
  • Chilli powder – 1 tsp
  • Turmeric powder – ½ tsp
  • Salt as needed
  • Fennel Powder – ½ tsp
  • Lemon juice – 1 tsp
  • Kasuri Methi – 1 tbsp


  • Add the cubed paneer in hot water and set aside for 10 mins. In a pan add in oil once its hot add in the chopped tomatoes and cook till it is soft. Allow it to cool down and then blend it to a fine puree.
  • In the same pan add in oil once its hot add in the green chili saute and then add in the chopped onions cook till it turns glossy.
  • Next add in the chopped capsicum and saute for 2 mins and then add in the tomato puree. Mix well and then add in 1 cup of water cook in a low flame for 2 mins.
  • Next add in the Garam Masala, Turmeric powder, Chilli powder, and the Fennel powder.
  • Meanwhile drain the paneer soaked in hot water and set aside. Next, add in the required salt and cook for 2 mins.
  • Now Add in the Paneer and cook for another 1 mins, now add in the lemon juice and switch off the flame. Finally, crush the Kasuri Methi and garnish the gravy.


Goes well with Pulao or any Roti.
