Ingredients
Dates - Always use fresh dates. If the dates are hard you can soften them by soaking them in warm water and then use. I prefer Medjool dates in my date balls, but you can use any variety you prefer. All works well.
Walnuts - Give a nice crunch and adds more nutrients to the date balls.
Almond Butter - helps in binding the date ball together and also an extra dose of nutrients. Use unsweetened almond butter.
Cocoa Powder - Gives the chocolate flavor to the date balls.
Nuts - You can add any additional nuts and dry fruits for garnish.

How to make Chocolate Date Balls
Pit and remove the seeds from the dates. Add them to a blender. If using a high speed blender you can use them as a whole. Else chop them into small pieces and add to blender.
Next add Walnuts, Cocoa powder, and salt.
Next, add the Almond butter.
Blend well to a coarse or fine paste as you prefer.
Transfer to a mixing bowl and scoop in equal portions and shape them as balls.
