    Thandai Recipe| how to prepare Thandai with step by step pictures. Thandai is a drink made during the holi festival in the norther parts of  India. It is prepared by reducing milk and flavored with a variety of spices and nuts. It is usually served chilled and perfect for the festival. Now lets see how to prepare Thandai.
    I have the tandai masala powder recipe posted in blog already. so if the masala powder is handy ,preparing thandai is a breeze.

       Step by step Method with pictures: 
       1.    Heat milk in a sauce pan, once it comes to boil, simmer it and add in the thandai masala powder.

    2.    Next add in the saffron, Rose water and sugar.

    3.    Simmer for another 5 mins and switch off the flame. Allow the milk to cool completely and refrigerate for 2-3 hours. Let the flavours infuse in the milk. and then while serving sieve it once and serve by garnishing with rose petals.

    Serve chilled.

    Standard 1 cup measures 240 ml

    Ingredients

    • 2 cups Full fat milk
    • 1 tsp Rose water
    • 2 tbsp Thandai Madala powder
    • Saffron – a generous pinch
    • 2 tbsp Sugar

    Instructions 

    • Heat milk in a sauce pan, once it comes to boil, simmer it and add in the thandai masala powder.
    • Next add in the saffron, Rose water and sugar.
