    Tomato gostu in pressure cooker

    Tomato gravy in less than 20 mins with the minimal of minimal ingredients cooked to perfection in one pot. Goes well with Idli or Dosa.

    Tomato gostu in pressure cooker | Simple Tomato Gravy with step by step pictures. Tomato gravy in less than 20 mins with the minimal of minimal ingredients. This is one of my go-to recipes if I had to prepare a meal in half an hour.

    It tastes good with almost everything and I prepare this at least twice a week. Now let's see how to prepare Tomato gravy in a pressure cooker.

    How to make Tomato gostu in pressure cooker

    1.    Heat oil in a pressure cooker Once its hot add in mustard seeds let it splutter and then add Cumin Seeds ,Green Chilli, Garlic pods , Crushed ginger and  curry leaves saute and then add in the chopped onions saute till glossy.

     2.    Next add in tomatoes, mix well and then add in the chili powder, Turmeric powder and salt.

     3.    Mix well and cook till the tomatoes get soft and then add in ½ cup of water.

     4.    Mix well and close the cooker and cook for 2 whistles in a high flame and the in a low flame cook for another 10 mins. Switch off and wait till the pressure is released naturally. Garnish with coriander leaves.

    Yummy and tasty tomato curry is ready in less time.

    Standard 1 cup measures 240 ml

    Ingredients

    • 2 tbsp Oil
    • ½ tsp Mustard seeds
    • ½ tsp Cumin Seeds
    • 2 Green Chilli
    • 5 Garlic pods
    • 1 tsp Crushed ginger
    • 1 sprig Curry Leaves
    • 1 Onion
    • 4 Tomato
    • 1 tbsp Chilli powder
    • ¼ tsp Turmeric powder
    • 1 tsp Coriander powder
    • ½ cup Water
    • Salt as needed
    • Coriander leaves

    Instructions 

    • Heat oil in a pressure cooker Once it's hot add in mustard seeds let it splutter and then add Cumin Seeds, Green Chilli, Garlic pods, Crushed ginger, and curry leaves saute and then add in the chopped onions saute till glossy.
    • Next, add in tomatoes, mix well and then add in the chili powder, Turmeric powder, and salt.
    • Mix well and cook till the tomatoes get soft and then add in ½ cup of water.
    • Mix well and close the cooker and cook for 2 whistles in a high flame and the in a low flame cook for another 10 mins. Switch off and wait till the pressure is released naturally. Garnish with coriander leaves.

    Notes

    · Add more water if you prefer it thinner.
    · Goes well with Idli, roti, even dosa or even pulao.
