    Capsicum Pulao Recipe | Capsicum Rice with Step by step photos. Capsicum has a unique taste. We usually don’t use it as the main ingredient but give this pulao a try, you will definitely get a request to try again. Goes well with just Raita and chips. Such a yummy and simple dish for a busy morning. Now let’s see how to prepare capsicum pulao.

    Capsicum Pulao Recipe

        Step by step Method with pictures: 
        1.    In a pan heat in ghee or oil once it becomes hot add in the Fennel seeds, Bay leaf and Cinnamon stick, Next add cashew nut, Cardamom and slit green chilli. Saute for a min and then add in the ginger garlic paste cook till the raw smell leaves.

     2.    Next, add in the finely chopped onion and saute till they become glossy and then add in the chopped capsicum. Saute for few mins let it retain its crunchy texture no need to cook fully, Then add in the required salt.

      3.    And Garam Masala to mixes well. Now add in the cooked rice and mix well. Switch off the flame. Capsicum pulao is now ready to serve.

    Capsicum Pulao | Capsicum Rice

    Capsicum Pulao or Rice is a simple and quick lunch box dish with capsicum as the main ingredient.It tastes good with Raita and Chips.

    Standard 1 cup measures 240 ml

    Ingredients

    • Cooked Rice – 1 cup
    • Capsicum – ½ cup chopped
    • Onion – 1
    • Ginger garlic paste – 1 tsp
    • Salt as needed
    • Garam Masala – ½ tsp
    • Ghee / Oil – 2 tbsp
    • Fennel Seeds – ½ tsp
    • Bay Leaf – 1
    • Cinnamon Stick a small piece
    • Cardamom - 1
    • Cashew nuts – 6 nos
    • Green Chilli - 2

    Notes

    · Tastes best with just Onion Raita.
    · Instead of adding the cooked rice you can directly add the rice and water and cook in the cooker.

      Very colorful pulao. You are right, we usually do not use bell pepper as the star but it seems to work very well in this pulao.

      WE love bell peppers and use it a lot too. I make this pulao a little differently and it is so good for the lunchbox as well. Your bowl of pulao looks so colorful and delicious Sharmila.
