Coconut chutney is a simple, yummy side dish recipe. It is prepared as a side dish with most of the breakfast dishes like Idli, Dosa, Pongal, Upma, Chappati. It goes even with evening snack items like Baji, Bonda etc. This is my Mom's recipe. Try it out and Good Luck!!!

Add the coconut, roasted gram, green chilli, onion and salt in a blender. Grind them to a fine paste. Add water in between grinding based on how thick you need your chutney.
Once the chutney is ready. Heat a kadai in low flame. Add oil to it. Once the oil heats add mustard to it. Once it splutters add curry leaves and dry chili to it and roast it and switch off the stove and garnish the chutney.
3.Now the chutney is ready. Serve it as side dish with Idli, Dosa, Pongal, Chapati, Baji or Bonda.

Coconut Chutney
Standard 1 cup measures 240 ml
Ingredients
- ½ cup Coconut
- ⅓ cup Roasted Gram
- 1 sprig Curry leaves
- 3 Green Chilli
- 1 Onion medium sized
- 2 Dry Chilli
- 3 tsp Oil
- Salt as needed
- Water Add based on thickness of chutney
- 1 tsp Mustard
Instructions
