Goes well with soup or just tea and some generous serving of mayonnaise. My personal favourite is with Pizza and some sauce. In this recipe I have used butter and garlic as the main ingredient in the spread. Feel free to mix and match as per your taste preference. Now lets see how to prepare Garlic Bread sticks.

Step by step Method with pictures:
        1.     In a bowl add in luke warn water, to this add in the Sugar and active dry yeast. Allow it to sit for 5 mins or until the yeast is completely dissolved and the mixture will turn frothy. It means the yeast is active. Mix well and keep it ready.

     2.    In a mixing bowl add in All-purpose bowl and salt. Mix well so the salt is evenly mixed. Now add in the yeast water to the flour mixture and knead it well to form a soft dough, finally add in the olive oil and knead once again.

      3.    Cover the mixing bowl with a cling wrap and then keep it in a dark place without any disturbance for 1 hour. The dough would have doubled in size after an hour. Punch the dough and then roll it to form a rectangular shape.

     4.    Using a knife first make a partition in the center of the dough and then cut it to form the stick shape. In a bowl grate the garlic pods to this add in soft butter and then mixed herbs. Cream it together and then spread it evenly over the bread sticks.

     5.    Brush it with milk generously and then preheat the oven at 180 Deg C for about 10 mins and then bake at 180 Deg C for about 20-25 mins. Or until the sticks turn golden and move freely from the baking tray.

Perfect for a winter day evening!!

The baking time may vary so check after 20 mins.
Make sure the required amount of salt is added while kneading the dough else the bread sticks may remain blank.
