2. In a pressure cooker take the washed fig and add in the water and pressure cook for 2 whistles. Wait till the steam gets realized on its own and then open the cooker. Wash the cooked fig once again.
3. Next mashed the cooked fig completely and set aside. Heat a pan with oil once its hot add in the mustard seeds and cumin seeds let them splutter and then add in the green chilli and curry leaves. Next add in the onion and cook till glossy. Next add in the Turmeric powder, Chilli powder, Coriander powder and the required Salt.

Standard 1 cup measures 240 ml
Ingredients
- 3 cups Baby fig / Athikai
- 2 tsp Oil
- 1 tsp Mustard Seeds
- 1 tsp Cumin Seeds
- 1 Green Chilli
- 1 sprig Curry Leaves
- 1 Onion
- ½ tsp Turmeric powder
- 1 tsp Chilli powder
- 1 tsp Coriander powder
- Salt as needed
To Grind:
- ½ cup Coconut
- 3 Dry Red Chilli
Instructions
- Take the baby fig in a vessel and remove the dirt and the extra stem portions. Wash the baby fig for 3 or 4 times.
- In a pressure cooker take the washed fig and add in the water and pressure cook for 2 whistles. Wait till the steam gets realized on its own and then open the cooker. Wash the cooked fig once again.

Notes
- Serve with rice.
- Make sure you wash the baby fig well before you cook.
