Notes
- Only raw jackfruit works for the chips, if its slightly ripe also the chips will not turn crisp ,it might be soggy .
- In that case sun dry the sliced jackfruit for a day or 8 hours in hot sun.
- Check if the jackfruit is dried well without any moisture and then you can fry to get crispy chips.
- If nor sun drying, you can double fry the chips to make it crispy.
- I have used pepper powder in this recipe as it is good for the kids, you can also you chilli powder or can also be skipped .
- Usually salt and turmeric powder is mixed well with water and sprinkled in hot oil while deep frying ,but its not safe as the oil might splash or burst ,so I always add spices after frying ,There is no compromise in taste it tastes equally good.

I have never tried these though I have heard about them. Must keep these in mind when I visit India next time. The jack fruit chips sound very flavorful and look crispy.

This is an absolute childhood favorite of mine. We had jackfruit tree at home, amma would make chips once in a while. It wasn’t necessary to make it at home since we were surrounded by excellent chips stores all around us. Oh this post brings back a lot of good memories :-)! The chips look fantastic, by the way..
