    Ingredients for Chicken Wrap

Chicken - I prefer boneless chicken pieces for the wraps. They are easy to make and blends well in the wraps.

Seasoning - Use your favorite seasonings to cook chicken. I am using air fryer to cook chicken breast. They are easy and all it takes is just 8 mins. You can also use oven or stove top to cook chicken.

Peanut Sauce - Its easy to make in home, if you have the ingredients you can prepare in just 5 mins. Store-bought sauce also works well for the recipe.

Coleslaw - Also easy to make salad to go in the wraps. Its crunchy with a juicy mayo and easy to make.

Roasted Peanuts - Give a lovely crunch to the wraps.

    FAQ's

Do you eat Asian wraps cold?

Asian wraps tastes best when served immediately. I Often suggest prepping the ingredients and keeping them ready , as and when you eat you can prepare the wraps.
However if you are making them as a travel food, you may wrap them in cling film and refrigerate.

    Can wrap be eaten raw?

Mostly tortillas are pre cooked and we just warm them up before consuming. Also the stuffing's are also cooked already.

How to make Asian Chicken Peanut Wraps

    Prepare Chicken

In a mixing bowl add cleaned chicken breasts. Add oil and pat gently on both the sides.

In a mixing bowl add all the spice powders and combine.

Add the spice powders throughout the chicken breast. Make sure its evenly applied all over. Put the chicken in fridge for 10 mins.

Meanwhile preheat the air fryer at 200 C / 400 F for 5 mins. Once done. Transfer the chicken breast in air fryer basket. Brush little oil over the chicken.

Air fry at 180 C /356 F for 8 mins. Make sure you flip halfway (after 4 mins). Let it cool and then slice them into strips

    Prepare Coleslaw

In a small bowl add mayonnaise, vinegar, maple syrup, salt, and pepper powder.

Whisk well until combined and smooth.

In a serving bowl add sliced cabbage and carrot. I am using white and purple cabbage. To this add the prepared dressing. Toss well until combined. Coleslaw is ready

    Coleslaw
    Prepare Peanut Sauce

In a mixing bowl add Peanut Butter, Rice Vinegar, Soy Sauce, Maple Syrup.

Next add Pepper powder, Salt, Red Pepper Flakes, and grated garlic.

Next add hot water and whisk well until combined. Or add everything to a blender and blend until its creamy and a sauce consistency is reached. Peanut Sauce is ready.

    Assemble Chicken Wraps

In a griddle heat the tortillas on both the sides for 20 secs. Or simply microwave them for about 10 secs.

To the tortillas spread little mayonnaise. And top them with prepared coleslaw, sliced chicken, roasted Peanuts and coriander leaves.

    Roll the chicken wraps

To roll the wraps, first slightly fold on both the sides as shown in pic.

Next from the bottom keep rolling till the end.

It is now rolled. You can secure them with tooth picks if you prefer. Or Slice and serve. Chicken Peanut wraps are now ready.

    Tips & Variations

Always prepare the wrap just before serving. You can prepare all the ingredients and keep them ready before hand.

Assembling the wrap and not serving immediately might turn the wraps soggy.

In place of tortillas you can also use kuboos or Pita bread too.

In you feel the wraps are not secure enough you can also prick them with a toothpick.

    Storage Options

I always prefer storing the ingredients that are needed for the wrap in air tight or zip lock containers.

So that just before serving you can heat the tortillas and prepare the wraps.

But if you have to carry for work you can very well wrap them. But make sure you follow the below steps.

Let the chicken cool down completely. Make sure the sauce and coleslaw is not watery .

Make sure there is no moisture in coriander leaves or any other ingredients before packing.

Once all the ingredients cool down , you can make the wraps and finally pack in foil.
