Coleslaw is a famous summer salad from the country of Netherland. It primarily consists of shredded cabbage along with mayonnaise dressing.
I prepare coleslaw and used to serve along with wraps and rolls along in shawarma along with some cooked chicken. They just taste out of the world.

Ingredients
Coleslaw mix - Use a mix of cabbage and carrot. I am using half and half white and purple cabbage , it gives a lovely pop of cabbage in salad.
Dressing - We prepare a creamy dressing using mayonnaise, maple syrup, vinegar and a hint of salt.

Coleslaw is a healthy salad as it has raw vegetables. But the issues is with the dressing. It has mayonnaise. It is not a healthy ingredients to include in the diet daily. If its once in a while we can use coleslaw as such. Otherwise you can skip mayonnaise and use greek yogurt or Hung Curd as a replacement and have it daily.
It is made of raw shredded carrots and cabbage along with a creamy dressing. It is easy to prepare. Just prep vegetables toss the dressing and refrigerate and use as you prefer.
Coleslaw is a cold salad. It is often enjoyed cold.
How to make Coleslaw
In a small bowl add mayonnaise, vinegar , maple syrup , salt and pepper powder.
Whisk well until combine and smooth.
In another bowl add sliced cabbage and carrot. I am using white and purple cabbage. To this add the prepared dressing.
Toss well until combined.
Creamy and delicious Coleslaw is now ready.
Tips & Variations
You can also add lemon juice instead of vinegar.
You can serve the salad along with rolls, wraps, shawarma or simply as a salad.
Storing Suggestions
Store them in a air tight container for up to 3 days. As we use mayonnaise base , we cannot freeze it.
But you can always prep the veggies and store them. Just before serving prepare and toss them in the dressing. This way it stays fresh.
