Onion Uttapam Recipe | How to make Onion Uttapam | Vengaya Uttapam with step by step pictures. Dosa batter will be always available in any south Indian house hold and the Dosa batter gets transformed to a uthappam on some days instead of the regular dosa .Few interesting versions of dosa which have already posted are

Now lets see how to prepare Onion Uthappam.
Step by step Method with pictures:
1. In a mixing bowl add in finely chopped onion and Coriander leaves and then add in the required salt.
2. Mix everything together for even mixing of Salt. Heat a dosa a tawa , Once it is hot take a ladle full of batter and pour on the tawa ,do not spread.
3. Give a generous sprinkle of onion and coriander mix. Drizzle in oil on the top and sides of the uthappam, cover and cook .
4. Flip and cook on the other side for few secs till it is done and serve hot.
Goes well with chutney ,Sambar and Filter coffee.

Onion Uttapam | Vengaya Uttapam
Onion Uttapam is an Indian Style Breakfast made with Dosa Batter. Finely chopped onions are added to the Dosa and make it absolutely divine.

Standard 1 cup measures 240 ml
Ingredients
- Idli / Dosa batter – 1 cup
- Onion – 1
- Coriander leaves – 1 tbsp finely chopped
- Salt as needed
Instructions
